Child Murder in Syria - sign the petition, get a free book

Do not look away. The image below arrived in my inbox from the AVAAZ organisation this morning and it is a disgusting inditement of our times. Whether you are liberal or conservative killing kids is not an option. Not unless you are a coward and a sociopath. It is immoral.

This picture shows the bloodied bodies of dozens of innocent children, brutally murdered by the Syrian regime. As a parent, these images are almost unbearable, but I know we must not look away -- and that we can help end this slaughter. Our governments are deciding what to do right now. But they will settle for hand wringing diplomacy unless we demand firm action. Sign the urgent petition to send in thousands of UN monitors to protect the Syrian people in every region now.

So if you want to stop it and kick our lazy ineffective cowardly politicians into action please do sign the petition that AVAAZ are taking to the UN now by going here: sign the petition.

I didn’t want him to have shot a kid, or his partner, or whatever. I just wanted a decent, normal, uncomplicated guy.”

Well my main protagonist John Savage does shoot a kid and is troubled by it. Because for the real world military men I grew up with and have worked with the realities of conflict are something that we all have to take responsibility for. The high suicide rates and trauma of our returning soldiers is the other end of this damaging spectrum.
